Our wooden five frame is perfect for helping nursery children to develop their early number, counting and subitising skills. A Five frame is a one-by-five rectangular frame into which objects are placed to demonstrate numbers less than or equal to 5. By using the five frame to count out objects your child will start to develop a visual understanding of what a number amount looks like (subitising). It will also help to develop their understanding of numbers and number facts.

Five frames are used before children proceed to a Tens Frame

Why not add a set of our large felt balls, felt hearts or felt stars to your order to use with your Five frame.

We have some videos and posts on our Instagram and facebook pages of ideas for how to use your Five frame @thelittlecoachhouse

Handmade

Our Five frames are made from solid beech and finished in a natural raw oil.
